Taking a break is good.

According to my records, I haven’t been in touch since March 11th. That seems like AGES ago! So much has happened in the world and where you live. And a lot has been going on with me. About a week ago I made a video about taking a break.

I started practicing Yoga in 1996 (long story for another time) but didn’t become a Yoga teacher until after Daddy died in 2021. I was SO overcome with grief that I pulled my hair out, had a horrible rash, couldn’t sleep and hardly ate.

Then I threw myself into Yoga taking as many as 5 classes day. Slowly I clawed my way back. There was a lot in between but I made it and became a Yoga teacher to help others manage grief.

Then my Mommy, my precious MOMMY took a turn for the worse, and we lost her at the end of December on the same date that we lost Daddy. They were together for 70 years, apart for 3, and now, I am convinced, are together again. I spent months with my parent since 2019 even to the detriment of my marriage. But I have no regrets. And one manifestation! View it here.

I know Mommy would be proud, Daddy too, to see me on TV! I consider this Mommy’s book and was proud of myself. My sister went with me for support and I couldn’t be more grateful. Big sisters rock!

Have you picked up a copy of my book, Wellness on the Weekly: 52 Fun Prompts For Mindfulness, Movement, and a Whole Lot Less Stress! If so, thank you! We have a Facebook group you can join. Email me on author@wellnessontheweekly.com with proof of purchase.

I’m happiest on the Yoga mat leading a class. I get special joy working privately with clients because I have the honor of witnessing them reach their goals using mindfulness tools and building their own practice. I know how Yoga saved me (the name of my podcast, by the way). As a Mindfulness Activist there is more saving to do!

I became a remote worker in 2004 and after working with one remote team, am convinced that there are other remote teams waiting to meet me. If you can help us find each other, thank you! Feel free to share this link.

Let’s continue to carve out spaces where we can breathe freely, move boldly, and heal unapologetically.

With power and love,

Be well xx.
